Angry Installed SLP lid and wont start...

My car wont start now after installing the SLP lid and a K+N filter. I disconnected the battery before changing anything and then connected it last after everything was done. It doesnt make sense. Has this happened to anyone else? what could it be? The first time i tried starting the car there was a quick starter noise but only lasted for a second before it stopped. 2nd time around there was no response from the car at all.

This happened to me too after my gauge install. The starter would like click then all power would die. Tighten down the battery terminal really tight. Not so tight you break them, but tight. This fixed the problem. If that doesn't work, get some sandpaper, and sand the terminals on thr battery and on the wires. The starter pulls so many amps that if the contact isn't good, it won't work. Hope this works.

Good Luck!

ok I got the car to start after fiddling with the battery a little bit and giving it a jump. THanks for the post!

There is no reason to disconnect the battery for changing the lid and filter. It sounds like the terminals just needed to be tightened.
