alright everything went fine, i happend to glance at the instructions after i installed and it says Handle must be tightened after install? im guessing these are the 4 bolts at the base connecting the top plate to the aluminum.

now is this a big deal? should i pull everything apart and tighten them, or will it be okay?

also ive heard different things, the lower boot you have to cut, do you put it below the top plate, or above the top plate just over the handle. i left it above, but if its better below then ill pull it apart again anyways.

 

The handle is the top, with the threads for the ****...it's got two bolts at the base that require a hex/allen key to tighten. Yes, you do need to tighten them and you might want to put some threadlocker on there too because they do (and most likely will) come loose.

The four bolts at the base do need to be tightened too...not very much but if you didn't, I'd go back and do it.

About the little boot...I dunno (can't remember)... but if it fits, it fits.

 

k ill pull all that apart tommorow and use some lock tight on everything.

alright i decided to rip it apart and put the lower boot at the base of the round part of the tower. this will prevent dirt from coming into the shifter up through the bottom of the car. it made sense to me anyways haha. then i took apart all 6 bolts on the shifter put lock tight and put em all back in. so now its all good.
