INSTALLED NITTO 315S ON STOCK RIMS!!!
I was very concerned about this mod right up until the tire guy was pumping them up. I have the stock SS rims for 99, the ZR1 style rim. GM lists the rim as 9" wide, I measured them myself and they are 9.5" wide, this was critical for my decision as to which tire I would get. The Nittos run very narrow and I was told a 315s will fit nicely on a 9.5" . Well I am here to spread the news that they do, I had them put on last night, they look awesome, they buble out a tiny bit more than the stock GY 275s but hardly even noticeable. In fact I like the look better, has that classic muscle car look, they look real meaty and tough. I tried them out a little and they grabbed like Velcro, so I am very very pleased. FYI to all.

Paid $168 including lifetime mounting and balancing from Discount Tire, good deal I believe. I could have got BFGs 275 cheaper but they don't last but 6-7k, Nittos 15k.
