Idle speed?

Idle speed?
What is the idle speed supposed to be for a 2000 SS A4? I just bought the car on thursday and noticed that its been idling at about 350 to 400 rpms consistently. This seems low to me, but the LS1 is completely foriegn to me so I could be wrong. Anybody have any insight on this?

My A4 idles at 600-650 RPM. When in gear, it drops to about 400-500.
edit: Took a closer look today, it also drops to 450 when in gear. At that RPM the engine does sound a little lumpy though.

Same here. Except when in gear, the lowest mine will drop is about 450 rpm.

I just posted a very similar question last week right after I bought my '00 Z28 A4.

Mine (A4) idles around ~750 rpm when in Park or Neutral, and drops maybe ~100-150 rpm when stopped in gear.
Apparently the factory tach's aren't the most accurate though. Unless the car doesn't feel good, or sound good at idle, I'd say it's probably OK.
