I have a strange hose in my engine bay.

I have a pretty much stock LS1 WS6 M6. its driver side next to the radiator. and my buddy is dropping a LS1 into a V6 camaro. so he wanted to look at my engine. then he pulled the hose which at the one end wasnt hooked too any thing just sit there. looked like is might be connected to a hose that runs up the driver side fender. I am not sure it is connected to it but seems to be. Anyone know what i am talking about? thanks i will try to get a pic eventually just was wondering.

Maybe part of an AIR assembly that was partially removed?

^ Sounds about right.. The AIR system intake hose connects to the Air filter lid for the engine. It routs down near the front of the bumper on the driver's side.

Was gonna say, I've had some strange hose' in my house, but I think I'll bring that Q to the lounge...

It's the intake hose for the AIR pump and 98-99 cars didn't have it hooked to anything either. Then GM decided if they used filtered air the pumps would last longer reducing warrantee costs for dead pumps. Just get a small filter that'll fit the hose and install that. Then tie it over by the fender.
Or you could just eliminate the AIR system and have an SES light on.
