Hurst shifter question? Help? Help?
Hurst shifter question? Help? Help?
Any of you great camaro guys that have a factory installed Hurst shifter tell me if your shifter handle says"Hurst " on it anywhere? Did they ever come that way? TIA
Thanks, that makes sense, but I don't believe the shifter rod says "hurst" on it? That's what I am trying to find out. I am pretty sure these shifters were made by Hurst for SLP?
I just swapped out my pos stock shifter for a factory installed Hurst that my friend sold me for $20.
The one thing I noticed that threw me for a loop was, both shifters used identical rods/handles. The difference was in the base. The Hurst can be disassembled easily with an allen wrench and has a few springs in it. It also has a thicker base than the stock shifter. If you're still not sure what ya got, go get a Pro 5.0 or a Ripper and you'll know for sure.

My hurst shifter has a chrome shaft with the "hurst" insrcibed down the side. The shifter is angled toward the driver, and the **** is black with the gear selection pattern on it. I actually bought it off of this site about 2 years ago
