How would you spend $700

Fellas be specific on brands also. To date I have a 1999, A4, TA with the following mods:

LCA,SFC, Shift Kit, Auburn Posi Unit, 3.73's, New Axles, TA Girdle, Fresh Plugs and Wires, and all synthetic fluids.

My ride will be here in about 12 days and I want to do a test run and then start modding. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't, I would keep it until I got a few hundred more so I could do LTs, ORY, and a cat back all at the same time. Just my 0.02

If you hve never driven it, I would spend $100 in track fees over the course of a month or so and learn to get the most out of it.. Dont say its an auto and it drives itself.. if that were true, every auto at the track would be pulling 1.9's on stock street tires and running low 13's.. as it stands, its not the case.. the remainding $ would then be spent on tires for the track.. perhaps a shift kit.. and proper install.. or a TQ.. but be ready to replace and repair..

Re: How would you spend $700

longtubes true duels and x pipe.... you can do the tru duels for aroun 220 coated pacesetters are about 389 with coating.

tru duels get 2 dynomax bullets and one universal x pipe from summit. 99 total for all of it. then you have 120 to take it to a muff shop and get it hooked up and the rest of the piping.

so 220+389= 609 then you have almost 100 bucks to fix stuff you weren't thinking of

Yeah, I would agree, but it will probably push you a little over your planned budget.

i say

lid - $100
SSRA - $200

then save the rest and save some more $$ for LTs..

Re: How would you spend $700

One mod on an A4 will help you more than all listed above combined.

Smaller converter if you want to run .5 sec quicker.

Re: How would you spend $700

If I were to get the Z06 heads and cam from the ebay seller, what else would I need to purchase and do to the car to get it running smoothly? Gaskets, power programmer, headers?

Re: How would you spend $700

Complete heads? And why settle with a little z06 cam? They are peaky and if you're going to run a peaky cam there are much better out there.

Do not mess with a power porgrammer.

I second this idea.... A 3400 Fuddle converter would set you back about $500 + Install you would be all set. No other mod for $700 is going to get you close to .5 quicker in the 1/4.

If making your car quicker is what you are after this will do it. I put a 3400 in my fairly stock 98 WS6 and went from 13.9 to 13.5 with nothing else done. I would also look at a B&M tranny cooler too. They are not that expensive and needed with the converter.

Good Luck!
