I have heard the GMMG exhaust and loved it! I was thinking about putting the similar style Summit chambered mufflers on my 79 Cutlass with a Gen 1 350. How do you think that would sound? It has mid-length headers, no cats, 2.5" X-Pipe system and exits after the rear tires. Would there be a lot of resonance? Any input welcome! Thanks

Someday a LS? Motor/T56 will live inside my Cutlass!

 

I highly doubt it will sound like a GMMG. It should be pretty loud and sound good though. I think it will drone pretty hardcore.

 

I don't know if i'll do it now. I don't want it to resonate like crazy inside. Not sure though.

 

if it exits past the rear wheels the resonance shouldn't be too bad. not any worst than most other true dual systems you could run.

the reason most true dual kits resonate so bad on Fbodies is that they usually end under the car...causing the noise to reverberate between the ground and the car.

With all stick mufflers, make sure the internal diameter does not neck down. Most stick mufflers will have an internal tube diameter 1/4" smaller than their inlet/outlet diameter.
