OK, I'm in Brooklyn, NY. Anyone around me or maybe in close proximaties in NJ. Know a shop that can balance my driveshaft.


I get intence abnormal vibration comming from underneathe me when I drive 100+. It's so bad that it feels like something is ready to fall off.

Please don't comment on my speeding, I know I shouldn't be, but I can't help it. It's a fast car like all yours...well you're prolly faster..hehe

All GM dealers have a tool called an EVA (electronic vibration analyzer) that they can strobe balance a prop with while it's on the car. This is preferred because it balances the prop to the yoke and the flange. Any driveshaft shop, and some machine shops should be able to spin balance your prop off the car. We used to have some luck curing high speed prop vibrations by indexing it. Disconnect it from the rear yoke, spin the rear flange 180 deg. then bolt it back up. It may have a rear flange that is slightly off and this will change the orientation of the prop to the flange. Hope this helps.
