Question How much would you pay for this car.

Thinking of selling my 98 Z28 with 33000 miles. Want to buy a newer SS. How much do you guys think i could get for this car? The car looks and runs like a dream. I have done some mods they are in my signature, pictures are also available by clicking the address in the sig. Car is also under extended dealear warranty until sep 2003 or 50000 miles. Let me know your thoughts.

If you sell it modded out, I doubt you'll get much more than 10-11K.

Wow these figures are lower than i expected. Nathan1234 you suggest mods are hurting the price, taking off what mods might help the sale price?

Yes, more than likely people will think you've run the car into the ground if you sell it with a ton of modifications. You should take as many off as possible. Then you can also put them on a new one, if that's what you get.

Sounds like a good plan. Although I have always been very gentle with the car. I have never taken it to the strip or driven it unnecessarily hard on the streets.

OK OK let me handle this I just traded in my 98 with 15 000 miles on it. I took off all my mods and made it stock again and I got $20 000CDN from the dealer. If I sild it privatly it would be like $24 000. Not what I wanted but not to bad either. Just shop around! I got a variety of different prices from dealers some were as low as 10 grand less. All I can say is look and go to every dealer!!

I agree that you should take off as many mods as possible unless you find the right buyer...the one who wants the mods and is willing to pay a little bit more than he would for a stock F-Body. There aren't a lot of those people out there but I guess I got lucky when I sold my '96 to the "right buyer."

Personally, I don't think you should have any problem getting around $13-15k for it because the car has pretty low miles and you said the car is in great shape so that obviously helps the resale value.

Good luck, I hope you sell it for what you want ($$).

Very nice! Check out www.kbb.com to get the book value. I bought my car from a friend with the same miles for 15 K with the mods listed below. You can't really add a lot of money by the mods, I know, it sucks, but check out the value, you'll probably be suprised at what you can get. I'd guess about 13K
