if it's w/o the ramair, then its factory rated at 305hp at the flywheel.

Re: How much HP...would you guess?

if it's in good running order i would think every bit of 285hp at the wheels...the m6s seem to dyno a bit higher at about 290-295

Re: How much HP...would you guess?

Well the M6's don't have a torque converter, so they would dyno higher at the wheels. Why would you even want one of these in an auto anyway?

Because auto's are faster at the track

Yeah, right. Maybe an auto with a shift kit. I know any built auto can shift faster than any human can, however Out of the factory, if you know how to drive you'll make the 6 speed go faster.

You can lose up to 30 % Torque at the wheels just by having an auto. But with a stick, you only lose 10-15%. I'd take my chances with the shifter anyday. Plus, autos are for girlies. I'm my personal opinion, there's nothing better than chosing my own gears. But everyone's different I guess.

Yep you just keep your head in the sand and stay away from the drag strip so you can keep your delusions.

Re: How much HP...would you guess?

those auto's are no joke. I suggest you rethink what you said. With my exact same mods and a good stall I could be knocking on 11's doors with awsome conditions.

Re: How much HP...would you guess?

If you put two Ls1's in a race, one auto and one manuel, and assuming the driver in the manuel really knows what there doing, the manuel will win everytime. I would know my friend has a 00" Trans Am and I have a 00" Z28, when they were bone stock we raced, I have a manuel and he has an auto, I beat him by a car length everytime. So if your buy an auto to go faster you have no clue.
