I always hear about this, but never have seen a post of anyone saying they cracked their lid. I got one laying around, and am wondering if i should put it in or not. I dont want to crack my lid .

I was running the fernco mod for the longest and never had a problem. The fernco I think is alot thicker and doesn't flex at all. I have now moved onto a hump hose. Still no cracks.

any of them besides the SLP style will cause your lid to either not fit properly, or I guess in some rare cases crack. That is the issue, so either get a SLP one or a "Hump" style one. Like some one said before, they don't charge $40 for nothing. The air intake is supposed to give a little for engine movement, and the straight bellows don't allow that.
