How many tengths gained from cutouts??

I really want a 12.99, and have a best of a 13.2 with just a lid and a k&n. I do not want do mod this car much at all, but I just want to squeeze a 12 out of it. Will a cutout help me shave about a tength off with no other exhaust mods???

hey big man, aren't u the one thats rebuilding there engine
just messin with u, nitrous seems to be the way to go but before that a set of longtubes might pull u down into the 12's with the addition of the cut-out

You will see about a tenth off. I think if you had a good set of tires you could go 12.99 or better no problem. I hate to see an auto with a 2.0+ 60 ft time even stock on sticky tires should get 1.8-1.9 . Hope that helps

If all this frikkin' rain gets out of here tonight, I'll be able to tell you tomorrow.

I'm going to make a few runs with the new gears and the cutout closed. Once I start getting the same numbers with the new gears, then I'll make a few runs with the cutout open and see what changes.

I think a couple more thousand miles of break in will shave another tength off, but the cut out and a little sneaky pete may be needed.
