How many O2 sensors on an LS1?My friend has a 99 Z.He had long tubes put on(hookers).The check engine light came on(he got rid of the cats)So he needs O2 simms right.Does he need two?

 

4 ... one in front of each CAT and one behind each CAT. You'll need sims to replace the rear O2s.

Just to clear that explaination up a bit, theres four o2 sensors on the car. one before the cat and one after on each side. The front sensor do the real lean/rich work while the back ones pretty much let the computer know that the cats are doing their job. you need two o2 sims to replace the back two sensors. they are always around 100 bucks, so not too bad.
