I put a muffler where the resonator is now on my LM? I want to get Headers but dont want it to be twice as loud as just the Loudmouth. Is there anything else that works better? Any specific brands...

 

A muffler would make it a little quieter if anything and improve sound quality most of all, after you you get headers, along with an off road Ypipe that dosent have cats, your going to want a muffler instead, i just went down that road. A 1 chamber flowmaster works, bullett muffler didnt work for me, it was exactly rhe same sound. i bought this TUrbo Muffler, a borla xr1, and a flowmaster to try and they all sounded almost the same. I still have the turbo muffler that is exactly the same shape as the loud mouth resonater. if u want it let me know i need to get rid of it.

 

What would you want for the muffler? Is it the same size as the resonator? Does it make a big sound diffrence? Thx

 

I paid $50 for the muffler, but want $30. It made a completly different, more refined with a gurgly rumble is best i can explain it. It also made the car ride smoother, all the mufflers did that. Yea its the same size and shape as the resonater.

 

You'll definately want a muffler if you get LTs with an ORY. I see that alot of guys switch to a Magnaflow muffler.

 

I want WHICHEVER muffler will make my car sound the least loud with LT's and sound nice. O yea...it'd have to fit too...
