I was contemplating taking out my entire AC system to reduce weight. Anyone know how hard it is, and how much the entire thing weighs?

 

There are only like 3 bolts holding it to its bracket, the problem is just getting it up high enough so you can get to them. And don't forget the stupid hoses. Since mine is leaking oil all over the place I really have to replace mine. $300 from Parts America with a $10 core charge.

 

You like in California and you want to remove your air conditioning to reduce weight? Dam, some of you drag guys take this very seriously.
