Nitrous.. 150 shot... instant 475 rwhp and almost 500rwtq...

If you don't want to add cam you're pretty much limiting your options.

Re: how to get 400hp

Bolt-ons only? You might get ~400 flywheel HP, but I don't think you'd see 400 at the wheels . As said, nitrous or F/I are the only "bolt-on" parts that would get you (easily) over the ~400 mark without taking the motor apart. Then the question is, do you want that power "available", or be there all the time?

Re: how to get 400hp

Not going to happen without internal engine work, N20, or FI. IIRC, the highest bolt-on cars are near 370rwhp...

Just out of curiosity... but why do you not want to do a cam?... not trying to be a wise guy, just wondering.

Re: how to get 400hp

ya thats what i'm wondering. Cams are pretty maintenence free. Go with somehting mild to agressive and you'll only have to spend ~350 replacing hte springs every 40k miles. plus it has the durability of a stock motor after you upgrade to hardened pushrods and good oiling.

Re: how to get 400hp

the reason i was saying no cam is because i wanted 400 hp before i started the cam swap , which will be ms4, patriot stage 2 ls6 heads, and patriot gold springs, now my question is now, how are the lifters on 60k spinning to about 6500 rpm and what kind of fuel system work will be needed to accept this, im in iraq right now so ill be ordering parts out here and i wanna make sure i get everything right since itll be bout 6 months till i see everything, thnk you

Re: how to get 400hp

I would expect 340-350RW with all the bolt-ons. The MS4 is a big cam but will also put down some great power. It won't fit with a stage 2 head though. You would have to flycut the pistons. A stage 1 head with stock valves would work with the MS4. If your switching heads, I would definitely do lifters. I just swapped to the PRC stg 1s and the Torquer v3 because I had a lifter go bad(which also took out my MS3).

Let us know if you have any questions!

Re: how to get 400hp

you are going to need new lifters. I had to get a new set when I switched cams because the stockers took a dump on me at 84k. Ate up 2 lobes on the intake side of the cam.

Re: how to get 400hp

400 hp where? Wheels or flywheel???
If wheels, you'll never do it as stated (w/out internal mods or a power adder).

Could also save some cash on the GMMG and Y and just get duals and be further along power wise.

Re: how to get 400hp

what lifters do you guys reccomend, and can you post a link to the heads that would best complement the ms4, the reason i want the gmmg , y pipe, is that i still have to pass a vehicle inspection, (no sniffer), so i gotta have cats and i think this way would sound great but not break the bankwith cam heads, etc im shootin for bout 450 rwhp, what other mods are required besides the exhaust setup listed and the reccomended heads to go with ms4? thank you

The MS4 is a Texas Speed grind. Shoot them an email and they'll steer you in the right way for heads.
