Yea, it is but a hell of a ride when it works out. I wonder what my car would be like as a 6 speed?
So, if you want 390RWHP...... See My Sig. Then go out and get beat by someone that has 365RWHP. As stated earlier, power does not always make you faster. You should be asking what would it take to make 400+ RWTQ. That will get you down the track.
There was a local guy that had 375 RWHP, he could barley spin his tires. A small chirp was all he could get. He only had about 280 RWTQ. Got beat all day long by stock cars..... But what the hell, he had 375 RWHP and as long as he didn't line up he was one of the fastest cars out there.
Good Luck.

My high school car was a '66 mustang, the motor that I built was a mild 302 with aluminum heads and a lopey cam, made 275rwhp.....but the guys in the camaro's with their 425hp crate motors couldnt touch me because I also installed 3.73's w/posi, and a loose torque converter....0-60 I was way faster, it was only above 90 that they would start gaining...gotta love the stock 2.79 highway gears
My point is, like has been said above, a 300rwhp car can be very fast if you match drivetrain components.
