How fast are Z28s?
your close but i think youd need more then some weight to hit 11's from where your at...your 60's are very good for teh power your making...id say if you got new gears 3.73's or 3800-4000 stall vert and put some true bias plys on there along with skinnies on some drag lites and you should be there.

I won't do it because I'm going to jump right past that phase and go heads/cam.
I was trying to say that you don't have to gut your car to run 11s with an automatic trans and high stall converter. Many do and have. But you don't have to.
I think a Mach1 compared to an LS1 is almost an identical race as a 99+ GT 5spd vs a good running 6spd LT1. Lower speeds, both are about the same, but above 70 the f body start to pull ever so slowly. 6spd LT1's tend to trap 1 or maybe 2mph better than a GT, and LS1's tend to do the same compared to Mach1's. My bet is on the LS1 winning by about a carlength from 0-110 assuming both cars are driven well.
