Yesterday I posted my problem with a thump during hard acceleration. Thanks everyone who responded. It must be the trans mount. I ordered one, but how do I install it. Thanks

 

Off of the top of my head here is how I do it....

Jack car up, support it with stands. Place jack under tranny pan. I usually put a block of wood between the jack and the tranny pan. Make sure the jack is in position to support the tranny. Undo the bolts for the tranny mount, undo crossmember, MAKE SURE THE JACK IS SUPPORTING THE TRANNY. remove tranny mount. Installation is reverse.

 

yes it is very important that you support the tranny they are alot heavier than they look and it does not feel good at all to have one land on your chest. it just flat out hurts.
