Question How Are Delco Plugs?

Discount Auto Parts just quoted me $5.98/each for AC Delco spark plugs. These are supposedly the factory ones.

My car is used for daily driving and I go to the track once in a while, and never plan on using forced induction or juice. I just want the car to fire like it's brand new and have the connection/spark it should.

Are these plugs any good?

OEM plugs are perfect if your car is stock/ lightly modded (bolt-ons) and your not a weekend warrior at the track every weekend. i've had good luck with mine and everyone else i know seem to have good luck with em

Great. Looks like I'll be using these. Are they platinum by the way?

How are the NGKs better than these plugs, can they just take more heat?

if and when I get to that point, I will go with bosch singles... they have never failed me and have always seem to keep my valves and pistons clean..

Thats a rip off for plugs!!! They must be trying to sell you the rapid fires. Regular plats should be no more than $2/plug. Don't fall for the designer plug scams. They don't make more power unless you have other ignition issues they're masking. Even then they're not making more power but just restoring lost power.

If you can buy factory GM platinum plugs for $2.00 you had better get a box full, and make yourself a lot of money selling them.
GM parts on line list $6.00 plus and they will sell for $4.16.
I haven't seen any dealer that would sell them (Factory GM original eq. plugs ) for $2.00
Send me the address of this place!!!

Who says you have to bend over and take it from GM. Buy another brand.

You can get NGK TR55's for a little over $2/plug and I've gotten Bosch plats for around $1.60/plug.

But hey, if it makes you feel special to pay that much for plugs by all means do so.
