Thumbs down How can I tell if the clutch is going out?

How can i tell if the master cylinder is bad or slave cylinder or just the whole clutch is bad, it all happend overnight it seems like. One morning the clutch just felt mushy, and it seems to get worse every day. Now sometimes the pedal wont even return to me all the way very easy, and it really sucks. The friction point has moved way down compared to where it was. How do i know the problem, and if it is the whole clutch, will the Z06 clutch just bolt right in?

Thanks.
