How big with 2.055 valves?

I got a good deal on a set of 64cc patriot stage 2 ls6 style heads.
They have 2.055/1.57 valves and are unmilled.
Stock bottom end, stock gaskets.

Anyone have any prior experience/knowledge of approximately how big I can go without running into P to V clearance problems.
I am still considering upgrading my cam....how big can I go?

I want something in the range of 230-234 in the range of .580-.600 lift.
Something fm13ish
Nothing massive as I dont want to kill the cars street manners.

Would something with a split duration that is bigger on the exhaust side....like a g1 cam, would that help me out ?

thanks

I'm using the 2.055 valves in my heads with an F-15 236/239 with .600/.611 lift and the heads have been milled .020" and have minimal PtV clearance.

That's using the new Dart heads which have great PtV clearance. I don't know about the Patriot heads, though. I'm sure that you would be fine with the F-13 and no milling and stock head gaskets and would even probably be fine if the heads were taken down .020 or a thinner gasket was used.

you should be fine with any cam in the 230-234 range.

go check out the FM 13 or 14 cams from www.futralmotorsports.com

or the Torquer (new version) from TSP

I like the added power of the xer lobes but I am kind of scared of them.
The futral cams have slightly less of a ramp rate....but stories about the f13 eating up lifters is kind of worrying me....decisions decisions.

Anyone else?

The problem with the Cam Motion-designed cams has been addressed by Futral. There were a couple of bad batches from Cam Motion that floated around. There is also an oiling issue when using any high-revving cam and stock lifters... the bad batch only added to the problem and tore up people's stock lifters and the cam itself.

The new cams will be ground on a better core and polished. Nothing to worry about anymore.

Easily. My F-15 is clearing with a .020" milled head.
