I bought my car from a dealer back in November 2002 with around 10,000 miles and I picked it up for $ 21,300. Since I bought it, I had the driver's side Rubber replace, Rear Tranny Seal and Rear Pinion Seal all replaced under warranty. In my opinion a stripped down 99 SS for that price is a little too high. I agree do not jump on the first car you run across, I almost did that and I was glad that I looked at 6 different cars before I bought mine, because I would have boughten a car that had Much more miles on it and No Warranty..

I just bought my 98 SS at the end of november, fully loaded, all GM and SLP options, with 62K on the odometer and 22K on a 01 LS1. It had all the mods listed below plus some and I picked it up for $15.5K.

Cool

2002 Z28 w/33K miles, $15.440

Advertised today in local paper for $14.880. Seems to be a stripper, but that's what some guys are looking for.

That's Texas and Texas car prices for you! Or should I say Ya'll...

15,500 seems a little high (to me) for a '99 SS, that is stock and has a couple problems. I bought my modded '01 Z for just a little more than that, about 6 months ago. I would either talk them down or look elsewhere. I've seen perfect condition SS cars (some newer than '99) for cheaper than that. Best of luck though
