DOES ANYBODY have good advice on a low profile lid that will fit a really low clearance ram air hood?

Heres's the problem: I have a Z with with a ram air hood (don't know who made the hood, looks good, but doesn't have enough clearance around where the air box is to fit a standard lid.) Instead, it has the actual air box bolted to the hood itself so it can fit down onto the deck over the radiator. REALLY GHETTO! just bought the car and came like this. PLEASE HELP if you know a l specail ram air lid/air box that I might could try to work with this hood

If so, they make a special air intake for it that I could find for you.

 

no that's not the hood, but let me know more about this special lid, because this hood propably is very similar in terms of clearance

 

Pics of your hood would be helpful. Borrow a digital camera from a friend and post 'em up so we can try to help.

As for that hood, that pic is an SLP Ultra Z hood. If you call SLP (732.349.2109), they should be able to discuss the lid setup with you.

can't get a link established to show pics, but it's kinda like a combo between the ss hood and the big block induction hoods you see on the LT1's with a small raised cowl at the windshield
