Talking Holy S#!t

Shop here finally got my 99 TA done (SLP LT's w/ORP's and a few other thing's). Anyway I already had the SLP Loudmouth on and my lord my ear's are still ringing 13 hours later. I love the sound, nothing is too loud for me but I am sure the cop's here are going to have a hay day on me. I am going to leave it till I get pulled over a few times but when that happen's what should I do to quiet it down. The shop suggested two 3" high flow cats. I was thinking maybe a good muffler. I don't have to pass emisions so no cats is ok. What would you suggest I do? I will hopefully have some dyno numbers today so I will post them too. Before they put all my stuff on they put it on a dyno for one run and I only dynoed at 275 w/ loudmouth and K&N FIPK. Is that kind of low or would it have gone up if they would have ran it more than once. Thanks

the borla xr1 muffler from what i hear is a great choice to put on a loudmouth. and that seems low but if your car was totally cold that number would have went up some.

Thats sweet man, I too have a loud mouth, and Im putting on heads, cam, and Mac headers w/ORP this summer. I live in michigan, where there isnt any emissions either, so screw the cats. I was thinking I might weld in some new mufflers all the way in back. Summit sells these chrome looking stainless mufflers for 70 a piece. This seems to be the way to go for me, I already spent the money on the LM, no point in wasting good parts. Other than that, I know they make those cone inserts to put in your headers that decrease sound but not flow. So how loud is it when you get on it? I heard they sound like nascars...haha. Anyway, I dont thikn your dyno numbers are too low. They say an ls1 will dyno about 280-300+rwhp, but that also depends on the dyno...some rate higher than others.
