High flo cats or just Y-pipe and let the next guy deal with it.

BTW, in MN there are no state inpections. Would it decrease hp that much to have the high flo's put in or just eliminate for the sake of hp?

However, isn't it illegal to remove any emissions control equipment...?

remove them high flow cats will cost lots, not having them is freeand if you don't have to worry about inspections, there is no need to spend the money.

Yes, it is illegal to remove emission control eq. however, if pulled over, mentioning I was just "racing" and will be replacing them at home will (maybe) avoid a ticket. Basically, I would keep the old cats. I just want to know if the difference in hp b/t the two would warrant high-flo cats. I would give the old ones to the person who eventually buys the car or replace them if I ever trade it in.

could always just take the outsides of the cats and have them welded on your y-pip to make it look like you have cats. cops and emmission would never know.
