Hich Pitched Chirp

I am hearing a high pitched chirp after I shut off the engine. Sounds like something spinning or escaping. Any ideas???

check the flux capacitor

Do you have a K&N with the breather attachment? mine makes noise out of that sometimes.

I'd probably check the serp belt too. Check out the tensioner to see if its all tight.

This is after the car has shut off. So the belt it isn't spinning. I am wondering what parts might still be spinning down after you kill the engine.

Try turning your heater off before shutting the car down. It might be the blower fan for the HVAC.

If it's a whirring, it might be the cooling fans runnings on. If it's more of a hissing, that only occurs when the AC has been running, it's just the AC high pressure side bleeding down - normal.
