HELP!!! Weird tapping noise.

That sounds like crap, hopefully it's just a bad lifter. How is your oil pressure? I would drain the oil again to see if you have any metal shavings, or a bearing cap

So for an update. I have done everything except take the heads off. I have used some sea foam in my oil and it has made the noise much more quiet. I am now at a loss. I think I am going to take it to a shop nearby and see what they tell me.

How did the compression test come out? That will tell you most things....

all the cylinders were almost exactly the same read out. i dont remember the numbers now. I had it at the shop on post. they were telling me that something with my vacume lines may be messed up. i couldnt find any leaks there. i dont even know what to do now. everyone keeps telling me something different!

What's your oil pressure reading?? Did you look at the pushrods again? Get a set of new lifers and get rid of those rockers.

My oil pressure does not go below 40 psi ever. When I rev the engine it goes up a little bit. I have not pulled the rocker arms again. The driver side of my engine does not tap at all. It is only the passenger side of my engine. Why would I remove the rocker arms. They are better than the stock ones. They are roller rockers. I think they have more lift than stock ones too. 1.65 vs 1.7 on the new ones.
