My 00 Z28 Idles kind of hard some times. It feels sometimes like an older car about to quit. I still performs well just idles weird. Also sometimes at about 40-50 mph if i slightly step on the gas it feels like it slips out of gear of like it lags alittle. But if I punch it it doesn't hesitate at all.

Any Ideas??

 

Could be a wide range of problems on the idle, check for vacuum leaks around the air intake and EGR, then make sure your O2s are ok. You also want to make sure you dont have an exhaust leak around the O2's. If you cant find the problem simply, you need to have someone with decent scanning equip (AUTOTAP, EFI live, etc, see what your fuel trims look like at idle,
also look for any problems relating to sensors of any kind

I had a similar issue, with a slight hesitation and miss. After replecing a whole of things, plugs wires coils, fuel system clean out etc. still had the problem. I took it to one of my buddies who said it could be as simple as water in the gas line. Bottles of dry gas later it pulls hard all the time. Just a thought, before youspend a lot of money on it.
