i say SI4.... like everyone said there are many factors that apply when picking a cam. and you also got some stuff to sort out with your other parts... but for what you said you wanted i think that one will do you some good

if its a daily driver such as mine is I would go with a cam such as 228/228 with 112 lsa. I would definitely stay under 230 dur. and not under 112 lsa so idle wouldnt be to lopey, i like the 112 lope though, sounds kinda mean but wont shake so bad it makes your whole body numb. I plan on getting TSP 228R in my future but not quite there yet.

I got a recommendation from my shop .. Ed Curtis 228/232 custom grind. I don't know the specifics like lift and lsa. Anyone heard of Ed Curtis cams?

LSA is only part of the equation for lope. Duration plays a part too. Overlap is what causes the lope and its a product of both of these specs. You can have a tight LSA and short durations and a stockish idle because you have little overlap

Never heard of him but that doesn't mean much. Who's grind is it (manufacturer?) and what are the other specs. You'll still be far short of your 425-450hp goal w/out ported heads.

I've got ported LS6 heads. With everything I have I should be able to hit 425 right?

I've already got the following installed already:
3.73 Gears
SLP Underdrive Pulley
B&M Trans Cooler
160* Thermostat
MSD Wires
NGK Plugs
Pacesetter LT Headers
Pacesetter ORY Pipe
Dynomax Bullet 12"

I've got the following sitting on the floor of my family room:
LS6 Heads ported and flow tested by CFM Performance
TCI StreetFighter 3000
Transgo Shift Kit
MSD Coil Pack
Eibach Pro Kit
Spohn LCA Brackets
Spohn Adjustable Lower Control Arms
Spohn Adjustable Panhard Bar
SLP Oil Pump
Double Roller Timing Chain Set

I've got the following on order:
LS6 Intake from ls1speed.com

I've got the following coming from my shop:
Port my Throttle Body
Ed Curtis Cam 228/232 (I'm still waiting on the other specs)
All Valvetrain components
Full Tranny Rebuild

I really hope that I hit 425rwhp because everything here with the labor to install is around $8k.

i think you'll be pretty close to 425

depends on how the heads flow.

I definitely will. Once everything is put in and I get the dyno tune and results I'll be posting either a " woo hoo " post or another " wtf " post with the results. I can't wait.

Should be a decent combo, post up those cam specs when you get them.
