Help with heads
Patriot ls6 style heads are actually 035 casting heads that began life as truck heads with 72 cc chambers. Patriot welds the chambers up and then re-machines them to their specs, so I think that the chances of the heads being welded verses being milled to the 59 cc chambers is probably higher than most people think they are. Call Gunnar at patriot and ask him and I'll sure he will be more than happy to help you!
If I bought some Patriot 035 LQ9 heads and they were advertising them as "LS6" heads, I'd sue the **** out of them. That's total bull**** if you ask me.
Check to see what kind of heads they are. If they are 243, then they are real LS6 heads. If they are anything else, they are lies.
If they are they 035 heads, then they were probably welded-up like Zitty said and will probably clear your valves since they wouldn't be milled.

The 035's are sold as LS6 STYLE heads not LS6 heads and are welded up and cut to what ever combustion size you want.
They do have budget LS6 (146 casting) heads too.
Since Gunnar has been in there I haven't see any problems. The valve problems Patriot had years ago are the same ones AFR has been having.
I've read posts from Gunnar where has says that 2.055 heads aren't recommended for stock bored LS1's.

I made 471/416 rwhp on 2.055 valve Dart 225s through the Vette drivetrain.
