Help with deleting AIR

Need some help here, just took out my egr valve, and capped the hole on the passenger header and the intake manifold. I want to take the AIR tubing out of the headers, but it seems to be also connected to a pump on the drivers front bottom. Anyone know how to go about taking the AIR out, without messing with that pump? Or should i just unbolt it from the headers, cap it, and leave the tubing in there?(would rather take it out)

thanks.

Re: Help with deleting AIR

You could just take the AIR stuff off and leave the pump (not hard to remove though) just a few bolts. If you keep it there just remove the AIR PUMP fuse - you'll have to have all the AIR and EGR codes turned off anyway.

Re: Help with deleting AIR

Yeah, im just going to pull all the tubing out, and leave the pump. I already have the EGR and AIR codes deleted, so that wont be a problem.

Thanks

Re: Help with deleting AIR

It's easy to get to. I took mine out in less than 30 minutes. There's two bolts that need to be removed from under the front bumper (black plastic) splash guard. Then, you can drop down the little "access panel." Looking around, there should be 4 bolts (10mm I think). A small ratchet with an extension makes them fairly easy to get to once you remove the bottom hose. If you have a hard time finding them, you can move the fuse box directly above it in the engie bay (just move to the side carefully so that the wires stay in tact underneath). Once the bolts are out, wiggle and pull. There are brass guides in the middle of the rubber boots where the bolts were. Mine snapped off with a little muscle. Pull the pump out, replace the fuse box, bolt up the access panel and you're done. Shouldn't take more than 30 mins.
