Heads and Cam question

Got my refund and purchased my new car. It is 1999 Pontiac Firebird Formula, M6 with 139000, very clean inside and out, runs nice and strong, tranny shifts great. Only payed 4500 out of the door. This car had one owner who kept it stock so I can modify it.
I think this topic needs to be moved to talk section or something

Nice ride. With the experiences that 2 of my local freinds have had modding high mileage LS1s, I would pull the pan and check/freshen the rod bearings and change the rod bolts. Then change the oil pump and timing chain with the new cam install.

thanks, with insurance money I will be doing engine rebuild and h/c swap.
