I was wondering what the difference is between the stock heads on my 2000 Camaro SS and a set off of a 2002 Camaro SS. The reason I'm asking is, I have a chance to get a set of heads off my buddy's dad's 35th. for next to nothing and I was wondering if there was a difference would it be considered an up grade to my stock ls1's. Or should I get then and have them P&P'd. I have previously asked about a cam suggestion and I think I' going with a TSP torquer 2 or F-13, Haven't quite decided yet. I'm only looking to get 400rwhp or maybe a little more because I plan on a 100 shot for the track, 4:10's, full bolt on's , Pacesetter LT's ond ORY, borla catback. Any input would be appreciated.

 

They're not really an upgrade. They are a better casting though. Go for a porting, but forget the polishing.

853s vs the 241s. The 241 is a better casting, but they are about the same when both ported.
