Angry Headlight motor is grinding.. How can I fix?

I've already checked Brent Franker's headlight fix page out, but my car is a 2001 and I can barely even REACH the motor to spin it up and down. Any suggestions at all?

Hopefully someone can give you an exact answer but i was told from someone that you take the gears out and flip them 180 degree's.

I believe that's correct. On the LT1 cars, it was a cinch to do just that. But my car's setup is different and like I said, it doesn't SEEM that I can access the gear to spin it! I'm gonna go outside and check it out real quick.

yeah everything can be a pain I have learned on these cars you have to first think and decide best routes before trying to do anything. if you just think about it eventually you find the easist way.

Exclamation For all who want to know...

Ok, I fixed it. On the newer models, you have to take off the bracket above the spinner. THEN, you can access it. And Brent's fix worked for me too!

The fix will work for as while until its starts grinding agian and you have to buy a new motor. There are metal gears available now, but i enjoyed putting the old motor in the vise and beating the hell out of it with a 5 lb hand mallet.
