headers sounding like crap?
headers sounding like crap?
I just got pacesetter lt's with an ory pipe installed at the shop and it sounds like its rubbing real bad, only when i turn and lay on the throttle a little bit
and it just sounds like crap.do you know of any solutions to these problems or do i just have to deal with this rustbucket sounding noise. Also just had subframes installed with them i dont think this would have anything to do with it would it.Gave it a before and after dyno on a dynojet made 312hp/331 tq with lid, ory,and catback with lt's it made326hp/339tq.are these good #'s ?(2000 ss m6)

Re: headers sounding like crap?
when the engine is under load, it twists on the motor mounts. this raises one side of the Ypipe, probably causing interferance with the frame.
there are many "bandaid" fixes available, but the best way to cure it is to install some poly motor mounts.
my engine now barely moves 1/4" when reved up.
my ypipe is less than 1/2" from the frame and never hits.
