header install question

header install question

on my LT1, i didnt have to undo the steering knuckle for clearance to install the header, just wondering if i have to undo the knuckle to install my Hooker LT's on my LS1 car???

nope, you can grind some of the block off to make the headers go in

This might be what he's talking about, the picture shows what I call casting ears. There's one on each side of the engine, we used a Sawsall to cut the ears off.

I have FLP LT headers. Nothing had to ground down or cut to put them on.

Steering linkage really isn't that hard to unbolt, I would think its alot easier that cuting/grinding something off the engine
