Post Having engine work done - what do you think?

A friend of mine who is also a mechanic runs a small shop and is willing to do alot of work for me. We are friends, but after all buisness is buisness, he made up an estimate today and I was wondering what your opinions are of what we are stepping into.

The list is as follows:

P&P Heads
Custom Grind Cam (used)
Hardend Push rods
Head gastket kit
JESEL Rocker kit
Valve cover spacers w/ gasket
Mac LT Headers
Adjustable Timing chain
PCM Reprogram by Ed Wright.

I do trust this guy, he swapped my LS1 into the car in 3 days and I have had only one problem since (just a fuse!). He does good work and he is quick about it.

I was hoping to make it to low 12's NA on ET Streets with this setup and hopefuly into the 11's with a NX or TNT N20 kit.

The average ambient temp around here is 95, 90% humidity and we are very near sea level. I understand this makes a difference.

Let me know what you think.

P.S. - I also have a set of 18in Z06 rims I would like to put on the car - I ordered a set of Yoko AVS tires as well. Will the 18's all the way around change the rak of my car? I like how it rakes forward now. I am also suspisious that I may have gotten the tires a bit too small.
