i got my slp y pipe installed today after lunch time i went out for a ride and the exhaust was rattling bad..i check everything, nothing sems to be touching or rubbing..has anyone got their slp y pipe installed and their exhaust rattles? what could it be?

 

i have an slp Y pipe......the only thing i had to do is modify the cross member it sits on......i put a couple washers to lower the cross member so the y pipe doesent hit it.........that could be your problem

I have a 3' y pipe installed on my camaro and I hear some rattling..usually over speed bumps or going down a curb. It sounds like something is in my muffler, but how would that happen..

i'm thinking maybe a piece of wire is loose or something that makes the pipe jiggle

I don't know if my 3' y pipe is slp actually..it was put on when I bought the car

troo though, I have heard slp are lying bastards

 

i really wouldn't buy anything from SLP unless it was my only choice and no one else sells it... most of their **** stinks because of bad quality ( example: their headers, wtf )
