I've had my car since new, and the mods shortly after, and it's time for some more zoom. Should i bother with a bigger cam? I dont go to the track much, and 99% of my 'races' are from a high speed roll.
thanks

nitrous??

how bout a FAST 90/90....should be about 15hp or so.
and you can sell the LS6 from the car to recoup some of the $$

maybe it's time for some gears...

other than that...yeah a cam would be your best choice

More suspension work and better braking if you're racing from high speeds

I'm looking into new rotors now. 37k on the car and i can feel a little warp on the fronts.
The car is a weekend driver, so a big cam is a possibility. How big for my setup?

Oh BTW, my wife thinks nitrous will blow up ever since she saw Fast and Furious so that is out of the question. lol

something like the F15 cam would probably do wonders for the car.

i say combine a bigger cam with the FAST intake and you'll really enjoy the car

Something more aggressive like the Futral Motorsports F14 or F15 and a FAST 90/90 setup and a dyno tune would be worth at least another 30+ rwhp over what you have now.

I was just thinking gears... 3.73's maybe. They're supposed to be good for M6's. 4.10's are more drag gears.

I'd spray it and see what you think.

Actually if I were there and wanted more I would put a STS single rear mounted turbo on it with about 5 PSI boost and a good dyno tune.

im curious on that, is the sts worth the power/cost ratio? also me personally id skip that, a couple local tracks banned rear mount turbos for some reason.

4.10 gears are NOT drag gears for an m6. They are PERFECT for an m6 and not too much gear at all...

In general if you're going to do a gear swap:

a4 = 3.73
m6 = 4.10

I think you need a good tune. You should be making more hp than you are with that setup. I have Dart 225cc P/P heads and a 220/224 cam and have virtually the same hp and tq. If you want more hp, look into Wilson manifolds (www.wilsonmanifolds.com) 85mm or 90mm TB matched to a FAST 90mm intake and some custom fuel rails and 40lb injectors. Then get it tuned by someone who really knows their business and you should be pulling at least 450 RWHP.

The car was dyno tuned, wanna race? J/K. I like some of those manifolds.
A lot of people seem to recomend the FAST intake, It just seems like a lot of $.

Edit : Damit, my post count keeps going up. There goes my record for being here the longest with the fewest post.

You can't compare numbers like that. Dyno to dyno differences are too great.
He could maybe come to your area and go to your dyno and pull 450hp.

Chassis dynos are just tuning tools so that you can get your combo running its best that day and to see what gains a new combo can do on your car on the same dyno.

If you were to get in your car and drive around the country doing dyno pulls in different cities and states you'd see a lot of variation.
