Guages wont work!

Ok, my friend has an 02 Trans Am, and i just got done taking out his stock monsoon HU, and have not put in the aftermarket one yet. Now, his guages are completely dead. the only ones that work are the oil pressure guage the amps guage. The others are completly dead, even the odometer. does this have something to do with the HU being disconnected?

Thanks.

I'd chech the fuse for the gauges to make sure for some reason it didn't get blown removing the head unit. Strange things seem to happen with electrical systems sometimes. Once I let my friend change my oil on my beater truck and after he was done it wouldn't start up for some reason. Turned out that the battery cable was badly corroded (i suck at spelling) and broke when he bumped it. Just a strange thing that happened to the electical system. Start by checking the fuses. If they are good and seated properly, plug the radio back in and see if they work. Good luck.

The fun part will be putting the Monsoon HU back in, you'll need the security code or it won't do anything.
