on the ss spoiler on the two middle bars that rest on the hatch, is there supposed to be some kind of foam under neath these two middle bars? my friend says that there is supposed to be foam under neath the two middle bars, do the ss spoiler from the factory come with foam under neath the two middle bars? do i need this foam? what does this foam do?

 

Well, mine appears to have some type of gasket-like piece of foam between the two spoiler pillars. I'm guessing this piece of foam is so the spoiler sits right, and does not scratch the paint in any way.
