Got my Loudmouth and Lid today!!!

It feels like Christmas for me. I wont have time to toss this stuff on until the weekend, but I am excited. Hopefully I have time to run at the track sunday or monday. I hope it sounds better ( I am nervous about the rasp) and gets me a little closer to the 12s.

How does everyone else like their loudmouth?

That's not good enough. Go outside on your lunch break with a butter knife/ screw driver and swap the lids out. Will take all of 3 minutes...

Or wait until you do the exhaust so you get all the power at once.

Have fun! I'm sure you'll like it.

Re: Got my Loudmouth and Lid today!!!

The lid only took me about 4 min to install on the 02 z28, and I remember the catback going on in about 30 minutes once the old one was off. Yea, maybe Ill do the lid tonight.

Thumbs up Re: Got my Loudmouth and Lid today!!!

These mods will change your life..

Ok maybe not. But you'll definitely feel and hear the difference. I recommend doing the FRA mod ( www.installuniversity.com ) when doing the lid. But congrats, your car will thank you!

Just a word of advice for the lid install.

Be careful when handling the IAT sensor and its rubber grommet, the sensor is very delicate.

You will fee a difference with both mods too.

Re: Got my Loudmouth and Lid today!!!

i felt absolutely no difference from my lid or catback, but it sure does sound good.

If they make me go faster, so be it, but i never really considered them serious performance mods. Now a stall and/or headers or gears, those are performance mods.

Re: Got my Loudmouth and Lid today!!!

Thanks that makes me feel better, i do still have stock cats. And your times are right on, as I ran 12.98 with a 02 Z28 A4 3.23s with the lid and catback. I need some cold air and maybe 12s. Well see.
