Been away from the message board for a few years. Had a stock v6 from 97 till last week, then I bought a 98 Z.

Ahh sorry I jumped the gun on ya.

I would do a search for GMMG and also visit www.ls1sounds.com for some sound clips.

Re: is this a good exhaust

Its definitely one of the favorites but some can't see spending the money for it......i wanted good stuff, outperforms any exhaust besides duals and the slp loudmouth i believe but the loudmouth isn't a good idea if ur looking to get headers. As for the GMMG i spent the money and was very pleased with it, i get compliments on it all the time. If u ever heard of the camaro ZL1 or Dick Harrell Edition Camaro's which are at the GMMG website, this exhaust is used on them, they flow very well, sound awesome, good quality, looks good. If i had to do it over again i would take the same system. If u can get the chance to hear it in person then go for it, www.ls1sounds.com is good to a point but hearing it in person is always gonna sound better. I'd be happy to answer anymore questions and i'm sure the GMMG guys will be jumpin on this as soon as they see this thread.

gmmg sounds a little too generic for me, but lots like it. It's one of the best flowing systems out there, along with borla, B&B, loudmouth, or a true duals setup.

WiseguyZ28,
I have seen those ZL1's. My buddy works for Midway Nissan in Post Falls Idaho, and his boss bought one out of Missoula MT. It is red with a black stipe, he paid almost 100 grand for it. It was on ebay for awhile. Its an awesome car.

Re: is this a good exhaust

GMMG is one of the top of the line catbacks, I myself prefer tsp true duals, less money and best performance, and sounds great, but gmmg sounds good, some people say similar to slp loudmouth but a little quieter and less raspy.

Re: is this a good exhaust

I have GMMG and it sounds great....very muscular sound when u get on it...real deep 25-3500 rpms.....dont go flowmaster...no performance there....i live right down the street from GMMG and u can here them testing cars all the time.....but GMMG and if you get a set of headers...u wont think twice about ne thing else.....sounds like loudmouth but not as raspy...i can send you a link to a video of mine with my gmmg on the car...just let me know

Re: is this a good exhaust

There's a GP for the GMMG going on on LS1TECH.com. $625 with standard tips. It runs until the 30th. We need 6 or 7 more people to go.

FYI

Re: is this a good exhaust

Chevy used a full chambered exhaust system on the 67-69 Z28's.
It sounds very throaty but Chevy stopped using it because of backpressure problems. Do some research before you purchase that.
