is this a good estimate of RWHP?

i usually hate these types of posts...but i'm bored today so i thought i would see how accurate you guys think my "guestimation" is

99z28, m6, 48K miles

SSRA, tsp lid w/ k&n, GMS maf ends (basically ported/descreened maf), ASP pulley, tbb w/ 160* stat and bassani ORP w/ 3" ipipe and magnaflow muffler

you think 340rwhp is a good estimate?

what should that get me given good weather and traction? 12.8-9?

I may be wrong but I think 340 is way high for a '98-'00 car...I would guess somewhere around 315-320. I could be wrong to though.

ya think?

here is how i added it up

290 stock
10 ram air/cai
10 lid/filter
10 pulley
5 tbb, stat and maf ends (all real small gains)
15 orp & cat back

maybe it would be closer to 330...

i'm thinking i may do a ported tb and an ls6 intake this winter...hopefully see another 10hp at the wheels.

would like headers but not sure if i can swing the install by myself and in a driveway.

This is how it was all explained to me. You can't just add hp #'s on top of each other. Like your ram air mod might be 10hp by itself..and so might your lid. However together you may only gain 13-15.

I'm thinking more on the lines of:

295 stock

10 lid

5 pulley

5 throttle body

7 catback & y (you really need headers to get the max gains from those two)

0 cai (you will get your 10 horses but only at highway speeds in excess of 75 mph and a dyno will not show any gains do to it being stationary)

So as far as a dyno goes I'm guessing 322 rwhp and on the highway you may get 332.

That would be my guess.

yeah i understand the concept behind not just "adding up the gains"...since many mods will increase more at less than peak power
as in you may gain 10hp at 3000rpms but only see a 5hp gain in peak...

but i was just doing some basic numbers, kindda taking that into consideration.

i guess i've seen nearly identicallly moded and same year cars dynoing right around 330. and i figured the better Ypipe and loss of cats should make about 7-10hp ....making the car closer to 340

i just need to get the fawker dynoed is all...

like i said i was bored so i thought i would see what you guys thought.

thanks

I'd say you're probably around 315 to the wheels. The lid may add 8 to 10, maybe 5 for the pulley, 0 for the throttle body and another 5 to 8 for the exhaust. Giving you the benefit of the doubt that you get 290 stock, (and who knows, it may be more) that's 313.

The dyno #s in my sig were before the ORY and without any pulleys.
330-340 is realistic "IF" you have a strong runner.
