I was wondering if this engine package is good enough from SLP.

Do I have to buy anything extra or is this kit good enough as is?
Is it worth it for the price they are selling it for (Supposed gain up to 485hp from stock)?

 

IMO id save money and get MUCH better...

try a texas speed heads/cam kit..around 2k...alot more power..

There are probably about 30 companys out there that offer heads/cam packages at various hp levels and various price levels.
Go to the advertizer index for this site, LS1.com, and LS1tech.com and do some research. Then post up with some options and see if someone already has tried the ones that you like the best.
Price alone is not always the smartest way to shop. What you need is the best price for the combo that will do what you want. This is a serious mod and you don't want to regret your purchase decision.

 

I second the Texas speed idea. They have proven results and posted dyno graphs. No way I would go with SLP Heads/Cam. I went with Texas speed. FYI.

 

Just as a FYI, SLP's HP ratings are at the crank.
