Good deal on a 99 SS??

I am in the process of buying a red 99 SS M6 with 22k miles on it. Mods include Eibach Springs, all SLP Options, Granatelli Mass Airflow Sensor, Stut Tower Brace, Loudmouth Exhaust, painted calipers. The tires need replacing. Im buying it for $15k in Cali. What do ya think?

sounds good. your link to the pictures doesn't work... i guess it depends on how it has been driven. it has had only 1 owner?

Here in Michigan that would be a real good deal. No idea out there. I paid $18k for my 2000 SS with 28k miles on it in the winter. It does have t-tops though. An SS w/o t-tops is actually probably pretty rare. I thought the loud mouth exhaust was that quad tip exhaust going out the middle, but maybe I don't know. Mine has the quad tip SLP exhaust and it sounds great, not the loud mouth.

if it's in good condition inside/out it looks like a terrific deal!

i'm one of those who don't like t-tops.

run the VIN through a gm dealer to make sure it is what it is.
have a mechanic check it out, be sure it's been in no accidents maybe? goodluck

Since it doesn't have T-tops look for yellow shocks. Is it cloth also?

www.hoodscoop.com/production/camaro1999-1.html

There are 3 pages. Change the -# to switch. That car is at least 1 of 78.

sounds like a good deal...do you want ttops though.

if you do, hold out until you find one with them

got my 2001 SOM SS loaded with tops, 16k miles for 19.5k here in NY.
that same dealership has a 2000 triple black SS convertible auto with 12k miles for the same price last i know...he seems to get some good deals!

goodluck

Post the VIN and I can give you its dealership history if you want it. If you want to wait until Monday that is.

Well I contacted the guy several more times before going to look at the car (It was 3 1/2 hours away). Come to find out those pics are from when he bought the car. I had him send me some more recent ones and some more info. The tires were bald and needed replacing immediately, and there was a 42" key scratch down the drivers side. With this known I did not look at the car. Ill wait until something else comes around. It is very hard to find a SS nowadays....

not easy, but they are around

try autotrader, or do a search on some big car dealerships. im sure there are some checy dealers in your state that might have something worth buying.

just dont pay too much for the car you want. the used car market isnt as strong as it used to be.
goodluck

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me! Get a full history report on it before you do the final paper work. And don't let the dealership run the report for you, pay the extra money and do it yourself.
