Is this a good deal?

Hey guys im sorting through the remainder of my options here looking for a NICE low mileage LS1 car and i keep coming back to this one http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...or=&cardist=20 And i was just wondering how you all felt about it, its a 1 owner car the guy who owned it works at the financing depo. at the dealership and always kept the car real clean! its got a nice aftermarket head unti in it and comes with an aftermarket amp in the back, not to many mods just a short throw shift, Borla exhaust and an intake lid, EXTEMELY clean tho. i drove it a couple of days a go and it rides out! Im just not used to the stiffness of a short throw shifter, but it appears to be very well maintained and kept...so what do you think??

Thanks,
Rob

2-3K off the price and then it would be closer to being a good deal, IMO.

The story about the previous owner sounds just like typical dealership BS. Can you imagine them saying it was owned and raced by a teenager...?

Short throw shifter, catback, lid... I wouldn't buy a modded car.

Then again, as long as you are happy with the car and the price, that's all that matters.

Good luck!

I bought mine last year at this time, same year, miles, etc. Mine was stock and I got it for like 14000. I would say its a good deal.

I'd say it's a fair deal because it's decent mileage for a 99. But to be honest they need to come down about 1k IMO before I would call it a good deal. I too would be a little apprehensive to buy a modded car. You can just imagine it was beat on a bit but we all beat these cars a little. As long as it does not show any signs of ever having internal engine work or N20 then I'd go for it. Having the first few basic bolt-ons out of the way right from the get go just saves you the expense.

Good Luck

sounds like a good deal, I bought mine about a year ago (99 Z) for 14000 with 20980 miles on it, maybe talk it down some like everyone else has mentioned, otherwise as long as you like it go for it.

I think it's a pretty good deal.I bought my 1998 Z in Feb of 2002 with 35k on it for $14k.Cars go for a little more in some parts of the country than others, not everybody can find a $7k LS1 within checking-out distance. If the car is clean and has been taken care of then I say go for it!
