Glad to Join the Club

Hello everyone. I came across this camaross.com a few days ago while searching for a good message board site for SS's. I had been wanting to get a corvette for a while and was gonna wait for the new ones, but since it's too expensive for me right now, I decided to go with the younger brother - the 35th Anniv Camaro SS.

I came across a good deal (I think) on where else but eBay! I'm just gonna have through a little mission to get the car because it's in Houston and I'm in Los Angeles. Tell me what you think about this. I got it for $24500 and it's an 02 with 3030 miles.

I'm gonna save up for my first mod - Heads and Cam. Any suggestions for a good performance upgrade?

Welcome aboard!

It's great that you're thinking big and all already, but building a strong foundation is just important. No point getting heads and cam if the car can't breathe. You might want to open up the intake/exaust sides of things first

Upgraded wheels, SLP grill, convertible... looks pretty loaded. Good deal for all the stuff it has plus very low miles.

Center mounted exhaust.

Great looking SS HemiThis! Congratulations in selecting the fast color Welcome to the forum and as RS Dragster mentioned, it would be a good idea to start with boltons for improved intake/exhaust flow .. Grab yourself an airlid, filter, catback, long tube headers and an aftermarket ypipe and you'll be set to go for cam and head upgrades.

Thanks Everyone!

Just wanted to let you guys know that I really appreciate your input and welcome for me. I belong to another message board for my truck and I know that there are a bunch of guys in these boards with a lot of useful information. It's good to have that information available for people like myself that are new to the scene. As soon as I have the car, I will post some pictures....can't wait!!!

Thumbs up

Welcome! Car looks very nice.

By the description you gave I was waiting to see a red one with stripes, though... Nice car, nevertheless!

You are definetely starting quite heavy with the mods from the beginning. Don't forget the basics, though: exhaust (headers, catback, cutout etc.), intake (lid) and suspension (SFC's etc.)

Good luck!
